Raymon Hall, son of Ralph and Dora Hall, was born January 13, 1929, at Brownfield, Terry County, Texas. In 1942, he and his parents moved to a farm southwest of Enochs, just north of the Cochran County line. Raymon's parents now live in Comanche, Texas.
Anita, born November 29, 1930, at Spade, Lamb County, Texas, is the oldest of four children of Roy and Ovie George. She has two brothers and one sister. When she was in the second grade, she and her family moved to Enochs where her dad operated a service station for many years. Her mother passed away in August, 1987. Her father resides in Lubbock, Texas
One of the memories of growing up that Anita has is of coming to Morton on Saturday night. When she was a young teenager, Dan and Sylvia (Ted) Hall, parents of a girlfriend, Jean, would take them skating. Two songs played at the skating rink
during this time were "Rosalita" and "Born to Lose." After skating they would stay in town and go to the midnight preview.
Raymon and Anita both attended Bula School. He graduated in 1946, she in 1948. Raymon and Anita were married January 15, 1949, in Enochs, Texas. They have four children, Sharon, born April 30, 1950; Janice, December 27, 1952; Rayma, May 30, 1959; and Randy born July 3, 1963.
Raymon and Anita farmed, living on several different farms over the next few years. They lived on the James St. Clair place seven miles northwest of Morton for approximately six years before moving into Morton in February, 1964. They separated in 1975.
Sharon attended Morton Schools and graduated in 1968. She is married to Ray King, whose parents are Spot and Correne King (formerly of Morton). Ray also attended and graduated from Morton Schools in 1968. Ray played football and basketball and Sharon was in pep sqauad and FHA. They attended South Plains College and then
moved to Nacogdoches, Texas where Ray attended Stephen F. Austin College and received as B. S. Degree. Their two daughters, Christie, sixteen years old, and Kelley, ten. They moved to Lubbock in 1978. Ray is a supervisor for Brand M. Vanding
and Sharon works in the payroll department of Furrs Supermarket central office.
Janice attended Morton Schools and graduated in 1971, participating in band and FHA. She attended South Plains College for one year. She and Benny Cadenhead, foster son of Russel and Betty Hudson, were married in June 1972. They
have two children, Jason, ten years old, and Michelle, seven. Janice and Benny were divorced in 1983. Janice married Clifton Wright in July 1985, and they live in Fort Worth. Cliff has two children, Chuck, fifteen years old, and Angela, eleven. Janice combined their two families and there is never
a dull moment with four children ranging from fifteen to seven, especially at such a time as when they were all grounded at the same time for four different reasons. Cliff is machinist for Lennox Industries and Janice is a quality assurance specialist for the Air Force at General Dynamics. Both are attending night school.
Rayma also attended the Morton Schools where she was a cheerleader and played tennis. She married Dennis Holladay, son of Harvey Holladay and the late Ruby Holladay, in June, 1976. They have two children, Cory, eight, and Amber, who will be four in July. After trying their hand at farming, they
moved to La Grange, Texas in February of 1984. Dennis is an operator at Wil Natural Gas Plant and Rayma is a bookkeeper at a car dealership.
Randy attended the Morton Schools where he participated in football and FFA. He graduated in 1981 and then attended South Plains College for two years. Randy lives in Morton and is farming with his dad.
Anita has been a secretary in the Extension Office in Morton for ten years. She enjoys her work and meeting all the people.
