A Walk Down Memory Lane Project
"A Walk Down Memory Lane" is a new project by the Cochran County Historical Commission.
Our goal with this project is collect photographs, memories and stories of current and former residents for use in a series of outdoor displays that will allow visitors to casually stroll and view the displays from the founding of Morton to current times.
Our goal is to have the displays completely finished and in place in time for Morton's centennial in May 2024.
We are specifically looking for
Photographs from any time period of:
People & businesses in Morton
Past & Present military men & women
Memories & Stories
Any memories and/or stories you want to share of living, visiting, growing up, or going to school in Morton, from any time period.
If you have photographs, stories, memories, or anything else pertaining to Morton that you would like included i the display, please, email me!
For the best quality, we would prefer to have scanned images of all materials. Please do not submit a photo of a photo, they do not work well when enlarged. If you have materials to share but are unable to scan them, we will scan and return all photographs and written materials loaned to us for inclusion in this project.
