WHITEFACE, Dec. 27 (Special) - Miss Nila Rae Wood became the bride of Homer Dale Yocum in a ceremony read recently in the Whiteface Baptist Church, with the Rev. I. W. Fulgham of Lamesa reading the double ring ceremony.
Parents of the bride are Mr. and Mrs. Albert Lee Wood. The bridegroom is the son of Mrs. Floy Maczorowski, Abilene.
The ceremony was read before an altar decorated with an arch of fern and small white chrysanthemums. Flanking the are were baskets of white chrysanthemums and candelabra. Mrs. Gloria Baker of Fort Worth sang "Always," "Because" and "The Lord's Prayer."
Wears White Lace
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a dress of white Chantilly type lace and tulle over net and satin, designed with a portrait neckline outlined by a fold of lace. The yoke was of pleated tulle. The shirred tulle
skirt was encircled by wide bands of escalloped lace.
Her fingertip veil was attached to a tiara of net and seed pearls.
Miss Margie Payne of Mena, Ark., was maid of honor. She wore a blue floor-length dress and carried a pink bouquet. Bridesmaisd were Miss Pearl Self and Miss Orveta McClain. Their dresses of orchid and blue were designed like that of the miad of honor, and they carried matching bouquets.
Candlelighters were Miss Madoline Yocum, sister of the bridegroom and Albert Lee Wood Jr., brother of the bride.
Tommy Keener was best man. Ushers were Weldon Curbo and Raymond Nance.
Reception Held
A reception followed the ceremony in the church parlor.
For the wedding trip, the bride wore a tan suit with brown accessories. The bride is a graduate of Whiteface High School and is a student at Hardin-Simmons University.
The bridegroom, a graduate of Pittsburg, Calif., High School, attended Hardin-Simmons University where he was a pre-ministerial student. He is now in the Marines, stationed at San Diego, Calif.
