Cochran County, Texas
Voting Registers (or List of Voters) can be hard to find online, more often than not, you will need to visit your county courthouse to access them.
Voter Registers sometimes offer an individual's full name, address, age, and occupation.
In regards to the Precinct 1 1947-48 List of Voters, addresses are given simply as "Morton, Texas"
Men's names are rarely given in full, and women's names are rarely given. More often than not, you will find "Public, J. Q." and "Public, Mrs. J. Q."
Thank you to Cochran County Judge Pat Sabala Henry for providing us with the Precinct 1 List of Voters. The original of this registar may be seen at the Texas' Last Frontier Historical Museum.
